Friday, July 17 saw the inaugural Hillcrest Pro-Member Tournament. 7 teams competed on a blustery July day with temperatures barely reaching 60 degrees. Host professional Jim Maguire led the winning team of Greg Brandrup, Gary Robarge, and Pat Callahan in the 2 net bestball of 4 event with a winning team score of 120 (24 under par). Maguire also captured Low Pro honors with a round of $68. The event was followed by a delicious seafood buffet served by Fischer's on the Green. Special thanks to Northwood's Brewing Company for sponsoring the event and Dave and Jeanette Suchla for organizing the social event following play.
